Mechanical Systems Lead

Job Description

Mechanical Systems Lead, Shell International Exploration & Production Inc., Boston, MA. Use Systems Engineering and Agile principles to define and solve problems in the Oil & Gas industry. Apply Systems Engineering to projects involving mechanical hardware design, integration and operations. Define use cases that frame a project, create complex data driven techno-economic models and analyze the results and test hypotheses. Identify and use design patterns to develop architectures that can be applied to multiple solutions. Support portfolio development and grow project pipeline. Provide technical feedback to Business Development staff to ensure potential projects are in line with core capabilities. 

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary: $201,500/yr.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Engineering (any), Engineering and Management, or a related field and five (5) years of related work experience. 

Must have five (5) years of experience with/in: 

-  Stakeholder management and customer interfacing;

-  Creating and executing engineering plans;

-  Performing risk management analyses;

-  Developing and running Systems Dynamics Models;

-  Performing trade studies;

-  Lean methodologies and Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or KanBan; and

-  Using at least one (1) of the following model-based systems engineering tools: Enterprise Architect, Rational/Rational, CORE, MagicDraw or Innoslate. 

Telecommuting permitted on a hybrid basis as determined by the employer. 

Up to 25% domestic and international travel required.
