GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under limited review, performs a variety of tasks in support of the drilling and operations activities of the company in the office. As a mid-level professional candidate is expected to perform routine duties with a great deal of autonomy but is often required to function at the level of an entry level professional.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical desktop support on proprietary operations application to Drilling and Operations team
- Conduct data analytics and provide information to cross-functional teams as requested
- Manage regulatory compliance (such as filing of drilling permits, pursuing Railroad Commission paperwork, operator compliance, etc.) under general supervision of departmental managers
- Work with cross-functional staff in corporate and field locations on regulatory matters, including Geology, Land and Reservoir Engineering
- Research new federal, state, and local regulations or rulings affecting the company’s energy related activities and advise teams accordingly
- Work with regulatory agencies to gain clarification or insight into pending regulations for processes
REQUIRED/DESIRED SKILLS
- Regulatory work/experience within the last three (3) years is required; experience with Texas regulators is strongly preferred
- Experience with operations systems required
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly
- Basic computer skills (MS Word and Excel)
- Some experience with environmental compliance is desired
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS OR YEARS OF EXPERIECNE IN LIEU OF
- H.S. Diploma or GED is required
- Five (5) years of related experience is required
- Technical Associates Degree or other technical training is preferred
