I am an Accelerated MBA student at Cornell Johnson looking for opportunities where I can leverage both my engineering and business skills to manifest my passion for energy industry.
My experience of working in various engineering capacities on offshore oil rigs with India's largest oil exploration and production company prepared me well for thriving in challenging environments. Troubleshooting complex process systems and orchestrating plant operations sharpened me to analyze and precisely communicate large and diverse sets of data and associated risks. I’ve successfully led project management efforts for safe and timely completion of high value projects because of my attention to detail, building consensus in diverse teams, while ensuring safety and accountability.
To bolster my knowledge in energy systems, I completed Master of Engineering program (with a focus on energy economics) at Cornell University. I studied life cycle analysis and LCOE for various energy choices like wind, solar, geothermal etc. I won the best project award for my capstone on ‘circular economy for plastics’ which included engineering design and financial-feasibility study. Some of my other academic pursuits included but are not limited to ‘Clean heavy-vehicle infrastructure design based on green hydrogen’, ‘Potential benefit of offshore wind energy production using National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s buoy data’.
Now, in the MBA program, I am further honing my business acumen and financial skills while also learning stakeholder management. My work as AMBA representative for the Energy club and an ‘Environmental Finance’ fellow is helping deepen my understanding of finance in energy. I am also utilizing professional growth opportunities like ‘MBA Impact Investing Training’ by UPenn Wharton and winter internship with Solar EPC company to sharpen my commercialization skills for renewable energy.
