Internationally recognized as one of the top petroleum engineering schools in the country, the McDougall School of Petroleum Engineering is the largest department on the TU campus. Our mission is to provide a high-quality educational experience that prepares each graduate either to work in the petroleum industry or to pursue an advanced petroleum engineering degree. The school offers many research opportunities with 21 existing consortia and joint industry projects that are supported by some of the world’s top energy firms.

The McDougall School of Petroleum Engineering (MSPE) at The University of Tulsa invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track, entry-level, faculty position in the area of drilling and well completions. A candidate must have an earned Ph.D. in petroleum engineering or a closely related field and the ability to provide teaching excellence in a wide variety of petroleum engineering and energy courses; specifically, in drilling engineering and well completions area, both at undergraduate and graduate levels. The candidate will also be expected to develop/maintain an active, externally sponsored, research program as well as to participate in service activities. Research focus is expected to be on drilling and well completions related topics.
